Faith in the Dry Season: A Story from Maratane Refugee Camp

Every Saturday in northern Mozambique, a small but mighty team gathers in the Maratane Refugee Camp. They are the Well Collector Team - a group of dedicated residents who voluntarily maintain the eight electric wells that WayFindersAfrica (WFA) has installed across the camp.
Last month, thanks to the generosity of a few faithful donors, we were able to send funds to replace two borehole pumps. These repairs were urgent. The camp is entering its dry season, and access to clean, functioning wells is not just a convenience—it's a matter of life and death.
🍽️ When Famine Follows Thirst: Food Insecurity on the Rise
When we spoke with the Well Collector Team recently, they were deeply grateful. But they also shared another pressing burden: Famine.
Food insecurity continues to grow. Many families are struggling daily to feed their children. Still, the team told us, "Water must come first." Their resilience and selflessness humble us.
But here’s the hard truth: Our donations have almost stopped. The needs are rising, but our resources are shrinking fast.
We believe God will provide - and we believe He uses His people to do it.
That’s where you come in.
🤝 How You Can Help: Pray, Give, and Share
Will you help us keep the wells running, bring food to the hungry, and expand this life-saving work in Maratane?
Your gift, your church’s partnership, your voice in sharing this story - all of it matters.
Please pray with us. Please give, if you can.
And if you know others with a heart for the unreached, the displaced, and the suffering, help us reach them too.
Because in the dry season, hope flows like water.
