14 Years of Impact in Mozambique

From the Heart of WayFindersAfrica Co-Founder Brenda Brewer...

This will be my 14th consecutive year of answering God's call to bring help, healing and hope to the forgotten people of this troubled region of Mozambique.

I will be at Maratane refugee camp in June and July. I am thankful to be joined by a 5-person medical team this summer. They will be training refugees and Makua people in and around the camp.

Some of the many things I will do include:

  • Meet with project leaders, agronomists and local staff to evaluate the gardens, wells and other projects at the camp

  • Pray with African Pastors and present messages of hope to the new Christians among the Makua tribe

  • Participate in the Food4Kids nutrition program and pray with volunteers as well as discuss program successes and challenges

  • Visit the WayFindersAfrica-sponsored Nampula Bible College and Maratane Kid’s Bible School and pray with their leaders

  • Meet with hospital staff and work with the medical team to deliver Community Health training that will build healthy families

Believing God for Big Things This Summer!

God responds to our prayers! The Bible says: “Whatever you ask for in prayer,

believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mk 11:24).

Therefore, we ask you to join us in praying and believing God for the following:

  1. For the refugees and Makua people: Protection from illness and disease, and to put aside jealousy and conflict.

  2. For the team traveling to Mozambique: Safe travel to and within Mozambique, and for God's touch on each traveler's heart.

  3. For the WayFindersAfrica ministry: Wisdom in determining future goals, and funding to continue existing projects like Food4Kids, Wells and Gardens, and Bibles, Blankets, and Mosquito Nets.

The Bible says: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers” (Galatians 6: 9-10).
