Brenda has a BS degree in International Studies from Syracuse University and a Masters in Business from LaVerne University.

She has 40 years' experience in all aspects of training, leading initiatives including design thinking, needs assessment, training development and implementation. In her role as a global sales training professional, she has been privileged to train in Europe, China, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, South Africa and Mozambique. She has more than 20 years as a Dale Carnegie instructor and is fluent in French and Portuguese.

Brenda and her husband Rex helped refugees assimilate in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area for eleven years. She enjoys adventure, traveling, and serving others while being their advocate and encourager.

Pastor Rex Brewer was ordained by the Wesleyan Church in 2013. His experience includes refugee ministry, refugee youth ministry and international church planting.  His biography encompasses service in the United States Navy, public high school teaching and entrepreneurial exploits in publishing and in the restaurant industry.

Lou Haveman was born in Chicago but grew up on a Michigan dairy farm.  He spent 22 years in Africa working as an missionary agronomist and then as Africa director for World Renew.  He spent fifteen years as a real estate broker and investor before returning to Africa and eventually starting a clean and safe water business.  He is married for 51 years, has two children, and eight grandchildren.

Sheila has a heart for those who are "othered" and worked in ministries serving those for 17 years. She continues to carry that heart through to her volunteer work. She works remotely as a project manager. Married to Scott and mother of 3, Sheila enjoys a good adventure as much as a good nap.

Dr. Scott Addison MD is a family physician who practices in Muskegon, Michigan.  He received his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School and has been in practice for more than 20 years. Married with 3 sons, he spends his free time golfing, gardening and volunteering as director of Global Partners Health Network, whose aim is to amplify the healing power of The Wesleyan Church

Rich has a passion for helping under-resourced people and communities thrive and become self-sustaining. Ordained by the Wesleyan Church denomination in 2005, Rich served Kentwood Community Church for nearly 20 years, mostly as global outreach pastor, and the Wesleyan Church for five years as director of the Wesleyan Native Ministries. In 2020 he launched More Than a Pastor to help pastors grow their income and build financial security. Rich is married with five children. He has traveled to Mozambique on Wayfinders trips many times and loves seeing the impact of our partnerships first-hand.

Angela has a BSN degree from Ferris State University and a MSN with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus from Spring Arbor University. 

She has over 20 years of nursing experience in areas including inpatient care, community health, public health including refugee clinic work, and has helped to open new adolescent heath centers in low income public schools. Over the last four years Angela has worked full time in family medicine as a primary care provider in the West Michigan area.

Mission work has been a desire of her heart for many years. Aside from volunteering to teach Sunday school, she also volunteered with Lansing’s Youth for Christ in their Teen Parent program to help educate on maternal and infant health. Most recently Angela felt blessed to travel with a medical team to Mozambique and desires to return regularly to help meet their needs.

Angela has been married to her husband for 21 years and they have 4 children. She loves to travel, garden, attend her children’s sporting events (and has been known to coach), music events and dance performances.
